DUSA Exec statement on Supreme Court ruling and support for trans students
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
Every year, DUSA elects executives representing different roles, giving students a chance to come forward and work together to bring about changes in the community and become an enabler of the best student experience. It is a great opportunity to make the most of your student life at the university, as you get practical exposure and an inclusive working environment to upgrade the transferable skills that can help you as you advance in your career.
To be able to run for the elections, the students must be current and fully matriculated at the University of Dundee. There are two types of roles to nominate for; a sabbatical role and a non-sabbatical role. Being elected as a member of the DUSA Executive is a unique career opportunity where you can work with a dedicated team to ensure the University of Dundee students have the best experience possible.
DUSA dedicatedly supports students’ voices and elections give an opportunity to the students to significantly use their voices and put forward their opinions. The roles such as of School Presidents and Student Executive Officers have significant power and influence on University life and the general student experience, and that is why it is imperative that students fully understand and utilize elections.
The election campaign will begin in February end and end by March following the results of the elections. Below are the dates you can note down for your record:
