Drug Crisis Community Action Project

Student Project: A University with Social Purpose: A City in Social Crisis

A team of students have developed a multi-focussed campaign and project that seeks to harness the talent, resources and influence of the University to advance local and national progress with the ongoing drug death crisis.

The team have produced a large framework that proposes 10 core recommendations. They have presented how both the University and DUSA strategies align with the project overall, and they have included data gathered from one of the largest student consultations ever conducted.

The next stage of this project involves consultations with University Officials and the DUSA Board of Trustees to establish a plan of action for the coming years, thereby ensuring the framework remains a priority.
