There is no requirement to print an e-ticket though if you are worried about your mobile data or internet access we would recommend downloading the qr/barcode. Screenshotting is not recommended as this may reduce the image quality.
Anyone entering the event is required to have a ticket. Children’s tickets (0-10 years old) are free of charge but are needed for our capacity records.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Purchasing tickets on the event day will be possible assuming tickets have not sold out. We strongly recommend pre-booking tickets for these as well as entry tickets.
While there is a chance of receiving a refund on entry tickets in extenuating circumstances, it is not our policy to refund tickets in the week before the con or any time after.
DeeCon 2025 will be spread over several buildings on the campus of the University of Dundee including facilities such as Dalhousie, Bonar Hall and the DUSA Building.
There will be printed out copies of campus maps with the relevant venues highlighted and timings for events.
There will be various events happening on the day of Deecon including a cosplay competition, various gaming contests, a wrestling show and many More. Our after-party will feature an awesome club night with hit DJ Seoul Rush, a pub quiz and a movie night. Find out more about our events on Instagram and Facebook.
The Liar bar will be open and serving food and drink during the conventions. As well as this, there will be stalls also selling snacks and treats all day. An example of this is Tempo Tea who are also doing a pre-order for their signature Bubble Tea.
If you have already purchased a stall, there will be a document sent out relatively soon with all necessary information on the PLI and refund policy as well as guides on our location, maps of the stall layout etc.
Sorry, we have the maximum amount of stallholders registered!
Once the event is over this webpage will be converted to have a mailing list sign up for prospective stallholders for 2025.
We use a ‘common-sense’ approach to items allowed in the venue. Of course, anything that would be illegal in a public space is strictly forbidden at the event. We ask that you are considerate of any fellow con-goers when choosing what props to bring with you, what will make others uncomfortable or upset, how much space will you occupy in high-traffic areas such as the artist alleys etc.
There will be several different categories of cosplay competitions as well as a cosplay workshop.
Metal blades – Sharp or blunt e.g. swords, axes & knives
Bats – Wooden or metal, including baseball bats
Guns – Realistic looking handguns, rifles or any other artillery
Crossbows and strung bows capable of firing and sharp-tipped arrows
Gas canisters made from metal or plastic of any kind
Nails protruding, or any other sharp items protruding from items or costumes
Laser pointers, regardless of being part of a costume or prop
Any other item that is deemed illegal to carry in the UK
Unrealistic guns and toy guns such as Phasers and plasma guns.
Imitation firearms such as airsoft guns and BB guns are allowed as long as they have the brightly coloured tip or are otherwise clearly identified from a distance as fake
Bows and crossbows are permitted if fake (unable to be shot) or left unstrung
Slings and catapults are allowed however no ammunition may be carried and will be confiscated if found
BDSM, adult fetish or nudity are not permitted.
Naked flames are not permitted.
All costumes must be suitable for the high-traffic areas of the con in the space they occupy
ALL rules in regards to cosplay are to be judged on event date, you may be asked to leave props or change clothes if a member of the DeeCon team deem the cosplay to be inappropriate.
Please always bear in mind that the day time activities of DeeCon 2024 will be accessible to children of all ages and must therefore be safe and appropriate.
