DUSA Exec statement on Supreme Court ruling and support for trans students
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
DUSA has over 200 societies and 120 are active you can join them today.
A society for everyone – art, history, law, dance, culture, language, sign language.
Our DUSA Societies Officer, Stephanie Emeye organised a societies award night on 27th of March at Bonar Hall. It was an enthralling event with over 65 attendees. The event offered 12 award categories and 2 brilliant performances by the students.
“Societies have been amazing this year, from fundraising to providing mental health and safe spaces for their members and making the campus community lively. I’m very happy that I’ve been able to participate in all their hard work and I cannot wait to see all the impressive events and activities they continue to bring to the campus.”

Pradeepa Marisamy
In the realm of rhythmic movements and storytelling through dance, Pradeepa Marisamy emerges as a luminary, adorned with the grace of Kathak. Tonight, she brings to life the timeless tale of devotion through her performance of “Mohe Rang Do Laal,” a soul-stirring ode to the divine love between Radha and Lord Krishna. Pradeepa invites the audience to immerse themselves in the sacred dance of love and devotion. With each graceful turn and expressive gesture, she pays homage to the enduring legacy of Kathak, a timeless art form that celebrates the beauty of the human spirit and the eternal quest for divine union.”
