
DUSA Exec statement on Supreme Court ruling and support for trans students
We are disappointed by the Supreme Court’s ruling that “the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.”
Nicole is self-driven, logical and analytical, fuelled by a passion for harnessing data-driven insights to drive transformative solutions and create a lasting impact on business performance. She is studying MSc Business Analytics and Finance. Also, as a Student Executive Leader, her goal is to inspire growth and empowerment among her fellow students, believing in the art of collaboration, inspiration, and driving transformative change.
Creating a space together
Nicole aims to create an inclusive space where diverse voices are heard and valued. She believes that each individual has the potential to effect change by Empowering students to take an active role in the Student Representative Council through training, organising events, and fostering open dialogue. Be a strong advocate for the interests and rights of the students and ensure that their needs are addressed in decisions, policies, and initiatives.
Being the change
Nicole aims to establish clear and accessible communication channels to ensure that students are able to represent their voices, concerns, ideas, and feedback. Develop a range of events, workshops, and activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the student, ensuring everyone feels included and engaged. Advocate for policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that decision-making reflects the interests of the student. Establish a feedback loop where members can provide input on initiatives and changes, and regularly report progress to demonstrate accountability.
